about

Hi there, my name is Rayne Dowell.

We’ve been playing around in HSP World for a while, learning, growing and having fun.

I first found out I had the Highly Sensitive Person Trait (also known as Sensory Processing Sensitivity) when the Creator guided me to write a book.

I hadn’t written or self-published a book before, but I followed through.

I learned I had the HSP Trait while I was writing the book.

I’ve since removed the book from publication; it was first titled “Unmasking” then after editing it a few times, I later changed the title to “The Making of an Envoy“.

I didn’t know I could write a book, but it received a 4.71/5 rating on Goodreads.

I’m excited to announce I’m rewriting my book and expanding it to a creative non-fiction trilogy.

I also created an audiobook based on the original self-published book with sound effects, which was fun. I removed it, though, because somebody copied it and put it on YouTube numerous times.

Then I created an HSP Meetup Group in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I used the group exercise section at the back of Elaine Aron’s book, “The Highly Sensitive Person“, as a guide for our group sessions.

I organized and  participated in 48 meetup group sessions. I’m so very thankful to the HSPs who participated; it was a very cool experience.

I also organized some movie nights where interested Highly Sensitives could watch, “Sensitive: The Untold Story” movie.

You can watch it for free on the Tubi app if you’re interested.

Next, I found other Highly Sensitives who wanted to blog, so I created a blog for Highly Sensitives, and many Highly Sensitives wrote for the blog – you can check out their blog posts on Medium.

We had fun, learned, and over time changed our blog format, and just kept playing.

Then I started a podcast for HSP World, where a group of three of us interviewed other highly sensitive people and sometimes just chatted about our perspectives on aspects of being highly sensitive.

We played around and recorded 44 episodes.

I’ve since removed the podcast, but you can find the transcripts on Medium.

All the while, I didn’t know why the Creator, or as I refer to my higher power, The Light, kept encouraging me to invest my time in HSP World; other than that, I loved investing my time there, learning and growing.

I also created social media channels for HSP World and had a lot of fun interacting with Highly Sensitives.

I’ve since abandoned the accounts, so that’s why you won’t see an active social media presence for HSP World.

Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in various forms of therapy, allowing me to experiment with what worked for me and what didn’t.

Next, I created Level 1 of the HSP World Mastery Program and made it available (for free) to any HSPs who were interested in creating positive change for themselves.

It was a happy coincidence that I was able to trial it with a highly sensitive person before releasing it.

After listening to their helpful feedback, I made the necessary changes.

I’ve travelled extensively throughout my life.

I am a High Sensation Seeking HSP (about 30% of HSPs are also HSS), and I was able to learn, understand, grow and apply my learning according to the different cultures I was experiencing.

In 2024, I completed a Peer Support Certificate through BC Campus, in British Columbia, Canada.

Then in 2025 I completed my internship with the Canadian Mental Health Association, providing online Peer Support to frontline workers in Social Services and Healthcare settings.

Recently I’ve re-worked the HSP World Mastery Program to incorporate more tools and services.

Which leads us to where we are now.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy what we’re creating.
